Sutter Pediatric Healthy Lifestyles Program Why should you worry about your child's eating habits and physical activity? Does it have anything to do with this childhood obesity everyone is talking about? Find out! The Pediatric Healthy Lifestyle Program's goal is to help overweight children and their families create a supportive environment for a healthy lifestyle so that they can improve their physical, emotional, and nutritional well-being. Registrants and families participate in six, two-hour educational/fun sessions that will provide hands-on learning for children and family members. These sessions will provide concepts of what is healthy eating in today's world, fun physical activities and positive self-image. The sessions will include presentations from a pediatric registered dietitian, an exercise physiologist, a pediatric nurse practitioner and a licensed social worker. The first of the series begins April 14, 2009; the second series begins July 7, 2009; and the last series of classes starts on October 6, 2009. All sessions will be held at Sutter Memorial Hospital, Building C, Classroom B Fee: $180 for the entire series of six classes. All sessions are 12 weeks long and classes meet every other week.
