For the first time, California’s historic State Capitol building will be lit in blue to mark World Diabetes Day, a global awareness campaign where landmarks across the world are lit in blue to create a united voice for diabetes.

A human circle of blue will form on the west steps of the Capitol.

A health fair will feature information about healthy living, diabetes prevention and diabetes care, with VSP Vision Care’s 40-foot mobile eyecare clinic and a group activity led by Jazzercise.
