Checklist for your hospital stay.
Individuals who are being admitted to the hospital should check in at the Registration Desk located in the main lobby Monday through Friday between 5:30 a.m. and 8 p.m., and Saturday between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. An admissions representative will ask you to fill out some forms and then escort you to your destination.

Pregnant Mothers
Mothers arriving for delivery to Sutter Memorial Hospital enter through the Emergency Department through the front entrance of the hospital. Your support person may want to drop you off at the entrance for your admission and then park in the main parking lot C directly across from the Emergency Department. If you arrive at the Emergency Department, please leave room for ambulances to pass through.

Once you are inside the hospital, a security officer or escort will direct you, or if necessary, transport you to Maternity Admissions on the second floor.

If you have completed and turned in your pre-registration form, admission should take only a few minutes as you will only need to do sign a treatment consent form. If you are not pre-admitted, admitting forms must be completed. In either case, please bring your insurance card(s) or current Medi-Cal card to ensure accurate processing of your financial paperwork.

While you are taken to a room in Labor and Delivery, it is a good idea for your support person to move the car, if need be and collect your belongings.
