Sutter outpatient mental health services began in 1965 at Sutter Memorial Hospital. Now as a part of Sutter Center for Psychiatry, Sutter Counseling Center offers outpatient services for children and youth.

Services include:

• Multidisciplinary diagnostic evaluation with social, psychiatric and psychological assessments
• Individual and group play therapy for children
• Individual and group psychotherapy for children and adolescents
• Individual, couple and group parent guidance and counseling
• Therapeutic group activity program for young children
• Family therapy
• Consultation with other community providers of service
• Medication management

Services are funded by the Sacramento County Mental Health Plan and are limited to those who are Medi-Cal eligible (EPSDT) or authorized in an Individual Education Plan by their school district (AB 26.5).

Program Hours: Weekdays, 8:30 a.m.- 5 p.m., Evening appointments available by appointment.
