Not all of us have the time or talent to make a quilt to support those suffering from breast cancer. Here are other ways to offer support to the Sutter Cancer Center's breast cancer programs.

Become an auction sponsor

We are looking for businesses that can offer either in-kind services or cash contributions to offset the expenses of running the auction (printing, advertising, storage for quilts, etc.). A representative of the Sutter Medical Center Foundation will be happy to work with you to explore options for donations and recognition in advertising and programs.

Make a financial donation

The quilt auction will not occur until November 1, 2008, but breast cancer does not wait. Now, more than ever, your generous gift to the Sutter Medical Center Foundation can make a difference. Here's how to donate:

Online
You may make a donation by going to the SMCF online donation process. At the end of the process you will be asked which program you wish to support. Choose the Cancer Center from the drop-down list and indicate "Breast Cancer Programs-Quilt Auction" in the comment section.

Print out the SMCF donation form, complete it and mail to:

Staff of the Sutter Medical Center Foundation can take your credit card information over the telephone if you prefer. Simply call the Foundation office at 916-733-3863. Have your credit card ready when you call.

 Let Others Know About the Auction

Please tell your friends, family and co-workers about the auction. A simple way to do that is to add the auction website address to your outgoing e-mails using the automatic signature feature of your e-mail program. We suggest the following:

"For information about the 2008 Breast Cancer Quilt Auction, visit www.suttermedicalcenter.org/quiltauction."

Volunteer

The auction committee meets monthly. If you would like to participate on the planning committee or have skills that would be helpful to the auction, please contact quiltauction@sbcglobal.net. New volunteers and visitors are always welcome to attend our meetings.
