Sutter Medical Center is the home of an advanced Women's and Children's program that offers the highest level of care in the region for newborns. The Special Care Nursery located at Sutter Memorial is a 55-bed care center serving 23 counties and more than 48 hospitals. The program includes six neonatologists and more than 150 special care nurses, many of whom are certified in Advanced Life Support. The Special Care Nursery is supported by more than 25 neonatal and pediatric subspecialists immediately accessible through the nursery.
